1 min read

Faith Christian Academy broke a five-game losing streak against New Life Christian with a 55-32 win on homecoming Friday night.

The Conquerors (4-10) got 18 points from senior Logan Pittman. Sophomore Hayden Voller was also thrust into the point guard position after injuries and gave the team 12 points.

Faith Christian jumped out to a 16-0 lead in the first quarter. The Warriors (3-8) cut the lead to nine points in the third quarter. But the Conquerors went on a 21-7 run to end the game.

“I just said look fellas, ‘let’s go back to playing team basketball and making the extra pass,’” Faith Christian head coach Jeff Stocks said. “It’s a mental thing. They think things are going well so they get comfortable and stop playing team basketball.”

New Life Christian junior Brock Leonard led all scorers with 19 points.

Faith Christian will host Greenville Christian Academy on Tuesday.
