After starting the season 3-0, the North Johnston volleyball team took their first loss of the season at Farmville Central in a three-set sweep (25-15, 25-14, 25-10).
The Panthers (3-1, 1-1 Eastern Plains 2-A) hung around in the opening set before a quick blitz from the Jaguars (2-1, 2-0) helped them go up 1-0. From there, the hosts were dominant in the final two sets as they sit atop the conference standings through two games. North Johnston began their season by sweeping their first three opponents: Smithfield-Selma twice and Beddingfield in their conference opener.
The Panthers will look to bounce back after Thanksgiving break when they host North Pitt December 1st. Highlights of the North Johnston-Farmville Central volleyball match can be found on the WJG Sports YouTube Channel.
