WJG SPORTS BASKETBALL POWER RANKINGS NO. 3
2 min readAnother week down in Wayne, Johnston, and Greene County. Wayne Country Day and Clayton girls continue to take care of business. Southern Wayne has sustained their winning streak and Princeton remains hot as well. Smithfield-Selma has hit a rough patch along with North Johnston. West Johnston took two out of three games this week and a new team emerged into the top 10: Neuse Charter.
On the boys side, Clayton and Goldsboro remain the top two teams in the area. South Johnston has been able to continue their success as did Princeton. Wayne Country Day lost a tough road game at rival Greenfield. B.J. Corbitt dropped 38 in a huge win for Greene Central over Ayden-Grifton. Cleveland bounced back with a win over Smithfield-Selma. Rosewood is now on a six game winning streak after taking down Neuse Charter.
