Neuse Charter takes down Rosewood in four sets to create opportunity at conference championship

The Neuse Charter volleyball team kept itself in the hunt for the 1-A Carolina Conference crown with a four-set win over Rosewood on Tuesday.
For the Cougars (6-2, 6-2 CC), the win set up a chance to tie Princeton for the conference title. The Cougars lost to the Bulldogs (10-0) in a five-set match. Neuse Charter needs to win out, and hope Lakewood beats the Bulldogs to win a piece of the championship. The Cougars travel to Princeton January 4.
For the Eagles (4-5 CC), the four-set loss was an improvement on a three-set loss back in November. Rosewood scored at least 21 points in all four sets, something they only did once in the November 24 contest. The loss did end the outside chance of Rosewood making the playoffs as they will finish fourth in the conference guaranteed.
