Goldsboro remains undefeated with win over Riverside Martin
1 min readGOLDSBORO — The Goldsboro volleyball team went to 7-0 with a 3-1 home-victory over Riverside Martin on Tuesday.
The Cougars dropped a set for just the third time in seven matches. Riverside went to 4-3 on the season. Goldsboro controlled the game for most of the match, but did have a third set where they could not get anything going.
“I thought we were going to close it out in three,” Goldsboro co-head coach Pam Tart said. “They picked us apart a little bit. One of the things we have been harping on all season is our serve and receive — and that’s something that broke down on us tonight.”
Goldsboro will have a little extra time to rest as they don’t play again until December 21st when they play East Duplin at home. Riverside will be back in action on Thursday at home against Southside.
