Warriors volleyball swept at Rose

Eastern Wayne was unable to recover from a hot start by J.H. Rose in their 3-0 loss Tuesday in Greenville.
That loss drops the Warriors to 0-4 and they remain the only winless team in Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A play. Meanwhile Rampants improve to 3-1 in conference and overall.
Rose blazed through the first set winning 25-3 with excellent serving and defense at the net. While Eastern Wayne made it competitive in the second, the Rampants once again heated up with their service game. In the end, Rose was too much to handle taking the second set, 25-11 and the final set, 25-8 en route to victory.
Both teams are back in action Thursday at home with the Warriors taking on D.H. Conley and the Rampants facing defending conference champion South Central.
