We’re now down to the final week of the regular season. In Johnston County, Cleveland, Clayton and South Johnston all picked up blowout victories. North Johnston lost big against a really good Southwest Edgecombe team.

Princeton and Rosewood both won (although the Eagles did need all four quarters against North Duplin. This officially sets up the rivalry game for all the marbles on November 8th. Greene Central has yet another shutout loss this time to Ayden-Grifton..

Eastern Wayne’s hung tough against Conley but couldn’t keep pace in the second half while Southern Wayne got shutout by New Bern. A 15-0 upset win over Midway means that the Goldsboro Cougars should be firmly in the playoff field. Corinth Holders fought hard again this week, but a missed extra point cost them in an overtime loss to Knightdale. In the end. WJG coverage area teams went 7-7 in week 11.
