WJG SPORTS FOOTBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Rosewood’s Kameron Lamm

Rosewood junior runningback and defensive lineman Kameron Lamm hadn’t run the ball in over a month, but in Week 14, the Eagles called on Lamm to carry them to Round 3.

“I was low key scared in the beginning,” Lamm said. “But then I was like, ‘I got to step up, it’s my time.’”

Lamm ran for three touchdowns and clinched Rosewood’s second straight trip to the 1-A North Carolina High School Athletic Association third round playoff game.

“They trusted me to do good and that’s what I did,” Lamm said. “I had to do good and show up.”

Lamm said it was really good to be practicing on Thanksgiving for the second year in a row.

“Just to get to spend time with my family, and then my brothers in the morning, then go and spend time with my family is great,” Lamm said. “I’m already ready. I’m turnt!”
